Why its easier to spend money on "stuff" than on Yourself
October 12, 2017
It's always a question of value. I (Jessica) bought a pair of boots this week. Kickass leather boots I practically wore out of the shop! Boots I'd been meaning to get for a while and didn't feel an ounce of "guilt" or buyers remorse about.
Its easy to spend money on stuff - on things - a bit of retail therapy - a quick pick me up - any reason other than it's Friday!
It’s been a tough week! 😉 lool
It's a question of value
Of how we really value ourselves. It's a question of trust, not in the “thing” or the “person” but in Us. In ourselves. Whether we have enough faith ourselves enough to be worth investing in. For that trip you've been planning for for years - or that Programme, that Software you need to achieve your goals for Life & Work.
We say we want... to actually get in shape, to finally work for ourselves - and on some level we do. But more than that - we want our comfort, we want ease and our quick fixes... Our favourite glass of wine. But They Leave. Us. Stuck.Nothing changes. Its easy to trust in the happiness of a new coat (which last about a couple weeks at best) than risk living in the one thing you know will bring you real REAL joy.
Where are you going to find Real joy ?
The risk: is real joy
Not the passing fleeting kind but the kind you can only dare to realise is yours for the taking. Where you spend your money is THE TRUEST Measure of what you value. (Look through your account for last month. THAT is what matters most to you.
If we really value our health - our bank accounts will reflect that.
If we really value our hopes and dreams - our bank accounts will reflect that.
If we really value ourselves & what we want most - our bank account will reflect that.
Whatever you actually value most, I bet you any money (pun intended!) Your bank account reflects just that.
Adventure & Travel.
Eating out. (Totally up there in mine!)
So we challenge you not to "Not stop buying that cup of coffee - gosh no. Life is too short. But instead, to
Put your money where your mouth is
Own the Life you really want and to back yourself in actually going for it. Put your money where your mouth is.
Trust - that YOU are worth investing in, that YOU not anyone else, has faith in yourself to make it happen.
Then go out there and actually Live the Life you want. (In the very best pair of Boots!) :-)
